Burglar
Learn how Burglar gives +3 hands and removes every discard when a Blind is selected, plus which builds can profit from that trade.
Verdict: Take Burglar when the deck can produce playable hands without discarding; avoid it when the build depends on discard selection or discard-triggered growth.
What happens at Blind selection
- Burglar applies when the Blind is selected, before the round's hands are played.
- The round gains three hands and the discard count becomes zero.
- More hands can create additional scoring and trigger opportunities, but they do not guarantee usable draws.
The no-discard cost
- Consistent High Card, Pair, or already-fixed decks can use extra hands with less need for correction.
- Straight, Flush, and discard-scaling plans may lose more from zero discards than they gain from extra hands.
- Evaluate Boss restrictions separately because an extra hand is only useful when it can legally score.
